The Settings page has a free Your Data card that downloads everything your family has entered in PiggySize — income, bills, assets, debts, goals, businesses, and more — as a single .zip file. It's available on every plan, and any account owner or spouse can use it.
Before you start
- Exporting is free — no Pro plan needed.
- Only the account owner and spouse can export. Child accounts don't see this card.
- You're limited to 5 exports per hour.
Steps
- Go to Settings (opens in a new tab) and find the Your Data card.
- Choose Download my data. The button shows Preparing your export... while it works.
- Your browser downloads a .zip file with your family's data.
What's in the download
- export.json — a full copy of your family's data in JSON format.
- One CSV per category — income, bills, assets, debts, goals, snapshots, milestones, and businesses.
- A profit-and-loss CSV for each business you track, if your family has any businesses.
Good to know
- The export reflects your data at the moment you download it — there's no scheduled or automatic export.
- The file downloads straight to your device. PiggySize doesn't email it or keep a copy for you to retrieve later.
- Deleting your account removes this option along with everything else — export first if you want a copy.
