Every new PiggySize account starts on a free 30-day trial of Pro. A trial is a free stretch of time when you get all the Pro features without paying. You do not enter a credit card to start it, and nothing is charged when it ends — your account simply moves to the Free plan.
How it works
- The trial starts the moment you sign up. There is no separate step to turn it on and no card to add.
- It lasts 30 days.
- During the trial you have full Pro access: retirement planning, business tracking, and the Piggy AI assistant, on top of everything in Free.
- When the 30 days are up, PiggySize moves your account to the Free plan for you. You are never charged automatically.
What happens when the trial ends
- Your account keeps working. You move from Pro to Free, not offline.
- Your data is preserved. Nothing you entered is deleted — income, bills, assets, debts, goals, and history all stay.
- Pro-only areas (retirement, businesses, and Piggy) lock until you subscribe. Any business items you already added stay saved but are hidden on Free.
Good to know
- One trial per family. The free trial is used up once your account starts, so it is a one-time thing for each family — not once per person.
- You can subscribe at any time. Subscribing during the trial keeps every remaining day — your first payment isn't charged until the day your trial would have ended. You can also wait until it drops to Free and subscribe later. Pro Monthly is $9.00 a month and Pro Annual is $90.00 a year.
- You are not locked in. Starting the trial does not sign you up for a paid plan. You only pay if you choose to subscribe.
- To check where your trial stands, open the Billing page in Settings — while a trial is active it shows Free Trial Active and the date it ends.
FAQ
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The 30-day Pro trial starts automatically when you sign up. There is no card to enter and no charge.
What happens when the trial ends?
Your account switches to the Free plan on its own. You are not charged, and all your data stays exactly as you left it.
Can I get another free trial later?
No. Each family gets one free trial, and it begins the moment you sign up. There is no way to reset it.
How do I keep Pro after the trial?
Subscribe from the Billing page in Settings, either during the trial or after it ends. See "Cancel or change your plan" for the steps.
What happens to my remaining trial days if I subscribe early?
You keep every one. Subscribing during the trial doesn't end it early — Pro access continues without a gap, you enter a card at checkout, and you're charged $0 that day. Your first payment is charged on the day your trial would have ended, and you can cancel any time before then without being charged.
